28 April Outing – Moonee Beach and Emerald Beach

After the washout for our last outing we have been invited back to Frank Punch’s home at 35 Heathmere Close, Moonee Beach (in locally known Heritage Park Estate). BYO morning tea and chair. Frank is a CHGC member and has been an avid gardener for many years. His garden has been his joy since moving to Coffs a few years ago.

Next stop is Carol Horner’s garden at 36 Lake Russell Drive Emerald Beach. Carol has not been there for long and says she’s looking forward to lots of good ideas.

Remember to take the solitary Islands Way exit from Moonee Beach so you can access both the Heritage Park Estate and Lake Russell Drive.

Lunch is at the Seaview Tavern in Woolgoolga and if you’re looking for some retails plant therapy either before or after lunch, you can call into ‘Secret Valley Plants’ 58 River Street, owned by our very own, Margaret Franks. The nursery is absolutely brimful of wonderful plants, well worth the visit.
NB: there is no need to RSVP for lunch
