The outgoing Executive of Coffs Harbour Garden Club made the decision that we, as members should contribute to those who are much less fortunate than ourselves at Christmas time. The decision made was to support a Coffs Harbour drop in centre, Pete’s Place Engagement Centre.
Members of the club really embraced the true Christmas spirit by donating many items to be given to the drop in centre.
Pete’s Place is a drop in centre for folk who are experiencing, or are at risk of homelessness. The centre provides a safe space for assistance, connection and support.
Not only does the centre provide advocacy, advise, referrals and specialist outreach services there is a breakfast program, along with toilet, shower and laundry facilities.
Pete’s Place is a St Vincent de Paul Society outreach service.
