Lillium longiflorum are known by different names, depending on where you are in the world. The northern hemisphere call them as Easter Lilies but here in Australia they are call either November or Christmas lilies. They are a native of Southern Japan and Taiwan, where they grow in meadows and woodlands. They have fleshy bulbs and are quite popular with florists as the flowers will last for several days in the vase.

You can remove the flower heads after the flowers start to fade and when the foliage dies off completely cut down to ground level.
