Due to fairly uncomplicated requirements Begonias have been grown successfully for a long time. You have perhaps seen stunning displays in glasshouses on your travels. I have seen some absolute stunning begonia plant collections at the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, Vic and also at the Begonia House in Cook Park in Orange, NSW – see here for beautiful images.
They are fantastic plants as they are suited to a variety of conditions and need very little care to thrive – provided they have light shade, rich well-drained soil, ample water and plenty of fertilizer of course.
