Friendship Luncheon

For those who perhaps are unaware, Coffs Harbour Garden Club are affiliated with Garden Clubs of Australia. This not-for-profit group encourages and supports some 750 clubs and societies across Australia who all fall under their ‘umbrella’.

There is one common thread in all these clubs and societies – that is a  a passion for gardening and plants. Their motto of ‘Friendship through Gardens’ is shared by Coffs Harbour Garden Club too.

Our Garden Clubs of Australia (GCA) Zone Coordinator, Marion Watts has instigated a Friendship Lunch to be held at Nambucca Heads RSL

Marion has been hard at work organising and encouraging club members to gather in friendship, just for the heck of it.  After all, most GCA activities have seriously been curtailed due to COVID and this function is to be a happy catch up for clubs from the zone that Marion is responsible for.

The lunch will kick off around 11am.

Cost

The cost of the meal looks as though it will be $32.00 per person (to be confirmed).

What is happening at this lunch?

Marion has secured some very talented folk to do a floral art demonstration.

There will be a display of before/after photos of members’ gardens – should be interesting seeing the journey of regional gardens. If you can add to this visual display could you please take your images along too please.

The ‘new’ GCA President Lorraine Emerson will be at this function to introduce herself to those who have not had the opportunity to meet her before. Lorraine will give a brief overview of the GCA and its role.
