25 August ‘Jaunt’ aka Outing

The August ‘Jaunt’ or outing for the combined Woolgoolga and Coffs Harbour Garden Clubs (CHGC) commences at 10am in the western part of Korora (see full details of location in the Jaunt flyer).

CHGC President and Treasurer hubby have worked tirelessly to create a stunning tiered garden on a very steep block in Korora with expansive views to the sea. This garden and home is one that we dream about when making a sea/tree change to the Coffs Coast and it is amazing just how much they have achieved over the past 4 years to establish the garden. The area around the home was indeed a ‘blank canvas’ when the Hunts purchased the property.

The variety of fruit trees alone is something that has to be seen – you think of a fruit that can be grown in subtropical Australia, I believe you will find it in the Hunt’s garden!

This outing destination is a MUST SEE and as the property is currently on the market, this could well be our last opportunity to enjoy Margaret’s plant choices set in a unique and beautiful setting.

Even though the Jaunt Jottings doesn’t mention morning tea, it is assumed that a BYO morning tea is planned in the Hunt’s garden – just kick back and enjoy the view with a cuppa; what a terrific way to start our outing day.

As mentioned in the Jaunt Jottings, please RSVP to Jill 0488 399 881 for lunch.

See Jaunt flyer for details of the outing here.
