STOP PRESS – Outing Day Change

Outing Tuesday 27 July 2021

We have to change the outing day this month so we can visit the Woolgoolga Gallery’s Exhibition ‘Birds Bees Flowers Trees’.

As the exhibition is closing on the 27th and just had to bring our outing forward by two days so we could visit this exhibition.

The outing will kick with a BYO morning tea at the Woopi foreshores. Please be mindful that it can get a little breezy and cool so please rug up!

We’ll be meeting here at 10am – there is plenty of parking available.

The Hub Cafe is nearby (however I’m not sure if it will be open, sorry!) so best to bring your coffee/tea.

Our garden destination after morning tea is to 9 Greys Road, Woolgoolga. Jo is a true plantswoman and has a lot of plants for sale and her garden is just delightful – lots to see here folks.

As mentioned in a previous post this exhibition has some wonderful creations and art work from local artists. We have such talent and to visit the gallery during this exhibition a real treat for us folk who are totally tragic about nature, plants and good critters!

Please be mindful of all COVID-type rules:

Please do not attend the outing if you are feeling unwell or show any symptoms of a cold, sore throat, runny nose etc or generally feeling unwell.

QR check-in is required, as is a mask a required fashion accessory.

We are limited to 20 folk in the gallery at a time however, this will give us an opportunity to chat (socially distanced of course) outside.

Lunch has been booked for 12pm at Woopi Diggers, very near the Gallery. Due to the dreaded COVID they have a limited menu but there should be something totally delightful for you to choose for your lunch.

Last destination is to visit dual Garden Club Member Margaret Frank’s nursery at 58 River Street, Woolgoolga.

This is a wonderful opportunity to discover where she is located and to pick up some plants to give our gardens a kick start to spring.

Adequate parking can be found on River Street, look out for the fish shop (going south) the sign for the nursery is just nearby.

Hope to see lots of folk attend this outing – remember it is Tuesday 27 July.

CHGC member Awia Markey helped judge the Exhibition at the Gallery on behalf of the club,  ‘It was a lovely experience to be a guest judge of Woolgoolga Art Gallery’s Members exhibition on behalf of Coffs Garden Club, together with the exhibition sponsor Judith, from Coffs Beekeeping Supplies’ said Awia. Congratulations on a job well done, we are very proud of you.
