Great Garden Beanie Challenge

Competition Details

The challenge has been put out there for the members of Coffs Harbour Garden Club to set their knitting needles a-clacking, crochet hooks a-hooking and their wool needles a-threaded to participate in this competition.

Prizes will be judged at the July Meeting – please bring your beanie along to that meeting.

Prizes will be awarded for first and second place – the Judges will be looking for colour mix, originality and adherence to the ‘garden’ theme.

Rules of the Competition

Garden themed natural and/or synthetic fibre beanies:

  • knitted or crocheted
  • buttons and other embellishments must be sewn on

No live plant or animal matter, glues or staples are to be used.

You may enter as many as you wish.

No second hand beanies, however

  • you may purchase a plain beanie and decorate it to your heart’s content

Competition is also open to immediate family members.

Gender specific, or gender neutral – up to you!

What will happen to the beanies?

All beanies will be donated to a local Charity Shop for promotional sale. We will have signage indicating that the beanies were prepared by members of CHGC (& their immediate family).

There will also be membership forms available if there is someone who would wish to join such a happy bunch of folk who love all things gardening!

Friendship through gardening

Simon Young is the competition Administrator and will organise impartial people to judge this competition.

Remember – closing date is the 17 July Coffs Garden Club meeting.
