Dynamism Rewarded
Past President of GCA (Garden Clubs of Australia) George Hoad, has been awarded an AM (Member of the Order of Australia) in the 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours List. He is pictured above in 2019 with Coffs Harbour Garden Club Patron, Patricia Roser OAM. Pat was the recipient of the GCA Ann Williams Clark Medallion for outstanding service by a member of an affiliated garden club.
Killabakh and most certainly the not for profit GCA are the richer for having had George Hoad in their corner. George undoubtedly lifted the profile of the GCA during his association since becoming a committee member in 2012. His tenure as President 2015-2020 was a role he took very seriously and George was always available for any GCA shindig where he promoted the organisation brilliantly.
A great proponent of a sing-along, George always brought lively cohesion to any gathering. Congratulations George, you are totally deserving of this award.
