Another successful combined outing with Woolgoolga and Coffs Harbour Garden Clubs. It was a brilliant day and there was a good ‘roll up’ of members.
We gathered at the Moonee Creek estuary for a BYO morning tea before we set off for the first garden at Moonee Beach. This garden is just six years old and is a heavenly garden created by people who are not afraid to put in the hours to maintain their paradise.
Our second garden visited at North Sapphire is a very new garden – less than three years old.
A corner block, it was brimful with plants. Very good use of space and an amazing alfresco area to the rear of the property.
Note the fantastic succulent display piece and cluster of pots in what could be a rather boring part of the garden. Both these hide the required tanks for fresh water runoff from the house.
This garden is a credit to these two gardeners, as they have created their own wonderful space to enjoy on the northern beaches of Coffs Harbour.
‘Friendship through gardens’ was evident once again at this outing, we really enjoy spending time with like-minded people.
